Barn House

This house was envisioned as a retreat in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The owner had a reclaimed timber barn frame that was used as the basis of design. The house was designed to showcase the rough-hewn timbers inside, while maintaining a modern open-concept feel.

Sunporch Addition

This client owned a lovely Arts and Crafts bungalow that was a Sears kit home from the early 1900’s. She had dreamed of a sunporch addition to compliment the house. The sun-filled room was designed as a living and dining space for her to enjoy the views of the garden and pool beyond.

Deck Renovation

No project is too small. The client wanted a deck renovation to include an outdoor kitchen and grill space, sitting area, dining area with shade and a spiral staircase to better utilize the basement walk-out patio. Revit is a great tool that can be used to help each client envision their projects even before they start.

There she studied Architectural History and received her Master in Architectural History at the University of Virginia. She lived and worked outside Charlottesville for almost a decade (including co-owning her own firm there) and now again is happy to call Indianapolis home. Megan also enjoys teaching design studio classes and Urban Architectural History at her alma mater, Ball State. She and her husband, Michael (also an architecture grad and contractor) have a young daughter, Eliza. Megan and Michael have renovated several houses together and are always involved in home improvement projects. Megan and her family enjoy biking, taking walks, hiking, reading lots of books and just relaxing by the fire in the backyard.
